Exowatt Secures 20M to Power the AI Era with Next-Generation Renewable Energy

2024 was a defining year for Exowatt. We secured $20 million in seed funding to accelerate our vision of delivering scalable, dispatchable solar power for AI-driven industries. This investment allows us to move from concept to deployment, ensuring that clean energy can be as reliable as the grid, without the carbon footprint.

The round was led by Atomic, a16z, Sam Altman, 8090 Industries, Felicis, and Climate Capital, a group of investors who share our belief that the world needs a new approach to energy. As AI workloads continue to expand, data centers are pushing the limits of existing infrastructure. Traditional renewables are not designed to keep up with these growing demands, but Exowatt’s on-demand solar technology is built for exactly this moment.

With this funding, we accelerated product development, tripled the size of our team, and secured 85 GWh in capacity reservations from major data center and renewable energy developers. The next step is execution. Mid-2025 will mark the launch of our first pilots, proving the Exowatt P3’s ability to deliver reliable, 24-hour solar power at scale.
